Alex Gonzalez collected four hits in four at bats, as Everman defeated Kennedale 11-3 on Saturday, March 2nd. Gonzalez doubled in the second, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.


Kennedale got things started in the first inning when Cameron Hanna singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.


Everman evened things up at two in the top of the second inning when Ignacio Soto drew a walk, scoring one run.


Everman pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third, Omar Hernandez was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, Cameron Taylor was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Chris Murillo drew a walk, scoring one run, and Samuel Vargas singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.


Edward Montanez pitched Everman to victory. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out five and walking one. Chris Delgadillo threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.


Jace Warren was on the mound for Kennedale. He allowed three hits and five runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Hanna and Blake Uner entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.


Gonzalez went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Everman in hits. Everman didn’t commit a single error in the field. Hernandez had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
